Pursue what magnifies your heart

WELCOME TO

MY WORLD

It's a little bit crazy, and entirely chaotic, but filled with laughter and love. Writing became a part of me as a young child. I started reading books. So many books. I kept reading and reading until I couldn't find more books that I hadn't read from my school library. Once I got the writing bug, I couldn't stop. It's an addiction I adore. It's also maddening at times, especially when I get sparks of brilliance as I'm trying to fall asleep. My tired mind is my creative mind. I try to devote time each week to write. It helps putting words on the screen as opposed to keeping them locked in my head, where they scratch and pound to be let out. Writing is such great therapy. Even if you don't find yourself to be so good with the words, writing anything feels like a massage for the brain. It has so much to say and to work out. That is why God invented writing. God, or Jane Austen.

When I write, I seek motivation from humanity. Struggles, heartbreak, joy. Nature also resonates deeply with me. As does wine. And my children. Sit  with me for a while, grab a glass, and read a bit. I hope you leave feeling warm, moved, and inspired.  xo, ella

My Weekly Sip

There's an owl outside my window. I hear its call quite loudly, as if it is trying desperately to grab my attention. It reminds me of a song from the 70's that haunted me then, even at my tiny age, and it haunts me now. This owl, though, seems to know when I need the distraction, as it visits from time to time. It reminds me to focus not on my burdens, but on clarity. My mind is wiped clean for the moment, and my thoughts are adjusted. My Grammy loved owls. I wonder if it is her? I have decided to believe it is. It makes me feel better.

Do you find something or someone always seems to catch your attention, when you need it most? I find comfort in knowing there is some divine intervention, universal energy, or Holy Spirit weaving its way into our troubles. I love inhaling the positivity, and saving a bit to pass on in the universe to some other needy soul.
